  I told them that before I order, I need a restroom. They couldn't even begin to understand what I was saying. So, after many attempts and different terms for a restroom, I left, used a restroom at Dunkin, and returned. Now I try to place an order, and they don't take debit cards. They use checks. Apparently, they're stuck in the 1990's and have never heard of a restroom, bathroom, toilet, lavratory, loo, privey, comode, or "place to take a piss".

  Having recently moved to Wallingford, we've tried several Chinese restaurants around town, and have settled on Gold Star as a cut above the others. While I would not recommend for dining in - it is spartan in that regard - the food is reliably tasty, consistent and well-prepared. It's also nice to be recognized as a returning customer.

  We have been ordering for over 20 years. Always consistent and although a little pricy, well worth the taste. Delicious and authentic.
